Tobias opened his eyes. He was disorientated and had a splitting headache...that and the fact that he was a couple of feet off the ground made him realise that he had been made a joke of. Each of his hands were tied by ropes that were tightly tied around his wrists and then stretched into a tree. Same with his feet. Causing his body to form a sort of 'X' shape a couple of feet off of the ground. He snarled, wild Dogs were circling his body. Some jumping up and snapping at legs.
Tobias: "Shoo...*Growls*...Go away!!"
He tried wiggling his body in a intimidating gesture but that just provoked the Dogs even more and made them more enthusiastic. There were 3 of them...but he smelled more was coming. He was thankful to the Spider and Dementa that they had brought him out here...but he wondered how they could have done. Spider looked rough as anything and Dementa couldn't of tied him up on her own. Also, he smelt a faint whiff of Mudokon on his clothing, however this was a different Mudokon. None that he had actually bumped into in the village. A crunching sound coming from the right of him made him and the Dogs turn in that direction. Another lone Dog came trudging up after smelling Tobias hanging in the tree.
Tobias: "HELLO...? I NEED SOME HELP HERE!! HELLO!?"
A faint smell of something all too familiar crept into his nostrils. The Mudokon that he had bumped into previous and who had cost him an explanation from Dementa. Tobias wasn't really keen on meeting him again, but having no choice and no means of mistake he called to him.
Tobias: "HEY...ERMM...MUDOKON...HELLO, I NEED SOME HELP...!!"
He heard the sound of the Mudokon's footsteps on the dry leaves and his scent grew stronger. Something even the Dogs noticed.
Alex: "Who is th...whoa..."
The Mudokon backed away upon noticing the Dogs who had turned in his direction and were now snarling.
Tobias: "No, no, no...dont show fear to them. Stand your ground...hit them with something!!"
Tobias was squirming franticly...trying to get free. The Dogs in the mean time were moving forwards slowly, drool escaping their lower jaws.
Alex: "Ermmm...cant you distract them!!"
Tobias: "Ohh yeh, distract them from up here!! Look...over there...there's a branch...pick it up and wave it about abit."
Alex side stepped over to a large-ish branch and picked it up, making sure he did so slowly. One of the Dogs then decided to attack and lunged for Alex, its claws out and teeth bared. Alex immediatly brung the branch upwards, connecting it with the Dog and sending it sprawling backwards, whimpering.
Tobias: "Well done...now....try again. This time, make sure to kill it."
Alex was getting the hang of it and was soon swishing the branch around aimlessly, hoping for it to connect. The Dogs were getting desperate and some left to find some easier prey. 2 Dogs were left and were starting to get used to Alex's attacks...they could now dodge each swing Alex attempted.
Tobias: "Come and get me down now...just climb up this tree and let one arm go...then i'll sort them out."
Alex did just that and scrambled up the tree on the left. Quickly un-doing Tobias' hand and then getting in a comfortable position. Tobias stretched down to his left boot and grasped his knife (Which is more like a Machete.) and pulled it out, cutting the rope tied around his foot at the same time, making him swing into the tree on the right. Then he cut the remaining ropes off and attempted to defend himself against the hungry Dogs.
Tobias: "Come on...im here now, on the ground. Lets see how you deal with me, eh?"
One of the Dogs snarled a reply and lunged for Tobias armed hand. Tobias made a swift move and cut the Dogs face, making it drop to the ground yelping. It backed away from him with its front half on the ground and its back half in the air, in a submissive position. The other one just stood there a couple of seconds and then darted off in the opposite direction barking. As did the wounded one after Tobias had gotten out of its way.
Alex: "Whoa...that was cool!!"
Tobias: "You did quite well yourself."
Alex jumped out of the tree landing on his feet.
Alex: "Thanks...you were a good teacher."
Tobias: "Heh, its not th..."
He froze in mid-sentence as he caught a scent of something hostile.
Alex: "What is it?"
Tobias: "Erm, nothing. You wanna help me with something?"
The over enthusiastic Mudokon nodded furiously.
Tobias: "Go to the Mayor's and tell him to get 2 cross bow's to me as soon as he can. Tell him to send them to Arim's. Ok?"
Alex cocked his head.
Alex: "But the Mayor doesn't give any weapons out to non-village types. And any way...he'll want a reason...what shall i tell him?"
Tobias turned to the Mudokon.
Tobias: "Tell him i'll pick them up MYSELF!! That should motivate him."
He smiled coldly as the Mudokon ran to do his bidding. Then he turned in the direction the scent was coming from and sighed.
Tobias: "Shame...the Assassins turn on the Assassin."
He turned and ran towards the village, concealing himself in the Shadows.
