I really feel like I'm part of the target audience for something like this, so I don't know if I've been objective enough here.

Yeah... It's one of those films that I generally can't recommend to anyone because it's really hard to predict whether they'll like it or not. And it's not a film you can be indifferent to; you'll either love it or hate it. Speed Racer is similar.
I loved Scott Pilgrim. I've seen it quite a few times. Mostly - and I acknowledge that this is quite a ridiculous thing to do - since I found out that I'd be moving to Toronto myself.
