Because he's EITHER a hypocritical gasbag who spews anti-establishment clichés for the sake of looking edgy OR he's a stinky hippy who actually believes said anti-establishment clichés.
He's a talented man, with lovely hair, and he means well, but he is a rather grating mixture of naïve and contrarian.
