That makes you a sentimentalist. You want us to symbolically bow our knees because a tradition should be upheld.
And I hate myself for it. I'm a libertarian/anarchist depending on the weather. But for some reason I can't bring myself to hate the monarchy or get rid of them. As I said, probably because I like the history attached to the concept of royalty. However bloodthirsty and barbaric it is it's still interesting. If I was given the chance to remove them though, if by some insane circumstance, I'd still consider it, after weighing up the pros and cons.

Wow, it's like Scotland doesn't have a tourism industry at all.
Compare the value of the English tourist industry to the Scottish tourist industry though.

Even if that was true, which it isn't, why is that a good reason to keep them?
Why isn't it true? Well if you had a coffee table in the corner of your living room and it was functional - held some plant pots on it, a nice candle or two - nice to look at, but you didn't really need it, would you get rid of it?

:
How?
Sorry, actually I just confused myself. You can disregard that point because I don't actually remember what it was I was thinking of when I said it...wrote it.

That doesn't wash with me, young man. Go sit in the corner and think about what you've done and don't do it again.
I don't like the naughty corner. =<
