Because fan artists are the lowest form of life. Duh.
Seriously though, we don't even get that many new members any way, a lot of the people with interesting things to say aren't about as much, people on here are a lot less opinionated than they used to be and we've had the same debates so many times that there's no point in doing them again. For those reasons, the whole forum in general is quieter.
Not to mention that people are a lot less interested in forums now than they were five or ten years ago.

And what about veterans age? We aren't kids now, interests change even Oddworld is always our favourite game (probably). We can talk about other stuff now.
