It wants to solve problems of inequality in the current patriarchy but I haven't met a feminist that admits there are real problems for men in society as well.

I don't know who you've been talking to, I've had only the opposite experience. But it is true that women do have it worse, and in ways that most men don't even have to notice (many of whom seem to get irrationally angry when asked to notice). However, the only people who I have ever met or heard of who are actively trying to resolve those male injustices have also identified as feminist. Which makes sense, come on. Many of them have young sons, and they certainly don't want to see their husbands, fathers, brothers, nephews, uncles, cousins and friends screwed over any more than they want that for themselves. And some of them
are men.
Certainly groups like MRA aren't doing anything to help, they exist for the sole purpose of shitting on feminism and mention male injustices only so that they can bring them to bear in their juvenile pissing war.
