Tobias made his way to the center of the village were the Mayor's hut lay. Noticing 2 Mudokon guards at the entrance and 2 at either side of the building guarding the windows he thought it'd be safer to act less suspicious and kindly smiled at them while he attempted to enter. As he did so a spear that one of the guards was holding shot across the entrance.

Guard #1: "No Entree. Especially without permission from da Mayor."

Tobias looked down at his boots and looked back up at the creature again.

Tobias: "It is very important that i speak with the Mayor...VERY important. Its about Spider and company."

The Guard looked across to its fellow who then spoke.

Guard #2: "You can tell us, we can make sure it is reported."

Tobias' fists tensed and he with-held himself from lashing out at these simpletons.

Tobias: "No...you see, its a very personal matter...if you know what im getting at."

He gave a mischevious wink to one of the Guards who in return gave him a puzzled look.

Guard #2: "We shall have to accompany you in."

Tobias nodded and then proceeded into the doorway to the Mayor's office. Upon arriving he noticed the smell of Scrab intestines drifting from behind his office door. The Guard stepped upto it and banged on the door 3 times.

Guard #1: "Sir...we have a visitor, he say it about Spider."

A loud voice came from the other side of the door, giving permission to enter. Tobias stepped inside slowly, closely followed by the Guards. The Mayor looked at them strangely.

Mayor: "Yes...anything else?"

Guard #1: "No sir, dat is all."

Mayor: "Well...why are you still here?"

Guard #1: "We are Guarding the person."

The Mayor smiled and told them that wont be neccesary and motioned for them to leave, stating that he'd shout if he needed anything. With that the Guards left and Tobias was on his own with the Mayor.

Mayor: "Yes...you wanted to see me about something to do with Spider?"

Tobias (Who was still standing) looked around for a place to sit, the Mayor had the only chair and was currently lying back on it comfortably finishing off his food.

Tobias: "Yes...i hear he is in Olm's hut and i was wondering if you would be so kind to let me see him?"

The Mayor's smile widened and his eye glinted with amusement, he placed the empty dish on the floor under his desk while asking.

Mayor: "And why would i do a thing like that?"

Tobias: "Well...why wouldn't you?"

The Mayor carefully rose off his chair and shuffled some strewn up papers around, putting them into his desk draw.

Mayor: "I don't know how long you've been in Pyke, Mr....?"

Tobias: "Please...call me Tobias."

Mayor: "I don't know how long you've been in Pyke, Tobias, but Spider is a known criminal. During his escape from Carthag, he butchered and ate many of his guardians. He has many unusual powers, and this town will not be safe unless he is securely locked away. He slipped through our grasp before, and I am not willing to risk such a thing happening again."

Tobias nodded and rubbed his chin. He was thinking of growing a little beard...not too much of one, just one to disguise a few blemish's he was getting on his chin.

Tobias: "Quite...but im sure he wont, i mean, one little visitor wont harm will it?"

Mayor: "One little visitor wont harm no...but i dont want to be responsible if he takes you hostage...so im afraid the answer is still a firm no."

The Orkhid could feel a vein on the side of his head start to throb, and he subtly placed a gloved hand to the area to stop his stress from showing.

Tobias: "Mayor...may i ask you a personal question?"

Tobias leaned forwards and placed the hand which was not on the side of his head in his jacket and clasped his Magnum.

Mayor: "Go ahead."

Tobias yanked out the gun and pointed it directly at the Mayor's face. Tobias suddenly felt alot more cheerier and asked in a hushed whisper.

Tobias: "How much do you want to keep your life?"

The Mayor's face turned pale and he slunk down into his chair, his eyes peering down the nozzle.

Tobias: "Now then...shall we try and break a deal with this little mis-understanding we're having?"
