My dad got a Playstation One for Christmas, must have been '97 or '98, he also got Exoddus. I was brought up from about 4 or 5 years old watching him play, and naturally when I could play Playstation to a respectable standard I stole all his Tomb Raiders, Tekkens and the one with the funny blue guy I'd grown up next to. Literally I can't remember life where I didn't know who Abe was. Two of my earliest memories of being alive are Feeco Depot. and one of the Paramite chambers.
Found out I was playing the sequel when I was about 10 and acquired a copy of Oddysee. A fond memory I have is the first time I reached the Stockyards, and noticing the Mudokon in the pen with the Scrab and shitting myself as I didn't have a clue how to save him.
Also remember when I was about 12 going on a family day trip into to the city (I'm from the deep southern countryside of England) and going into the Game shop and seeing Abe on the xbox and having a fit because I had no idea any other Abe games existed. Then it was shit and I was so disappointed. Even before I was such a hardcore Abe fan I thought it sucked.
Also had a mint condition copy of Oddworld Adventures II when I was younger, many car trips enjoyed playing that beast. Thought it was great at the time.
