That's what I was thinking. The named Oddworld characters are too well developed to gel right in an out-of-character behind the scenes type situation. Nameless punch-clock villains work much better, especially considering the theme of Wreck-It-Ralph. Though that itself probably depends on the plot of any Ralph sequel, since I imagine the villain-with-issues story gets resolved in the first one.
So sligs would be good, as would slogs (especially if there's loads of them blasting out of a hut, or even being vacuumed into one in preparation for a game). Or if there's a videogame monster zoo, scrabs and paramites would make natural specimens.
