I like the idea of multiple styles. Really to make a convincing Sligstorm game nowadays would probably require something closer to Bioshock / RAGE / Brothers In Arms. That way you could have multiple weapons, vehicles, large-scale conflicts. I'd also like to see some dialogue choices like in Fallout / Skyrim / Mass Effect, maybe some morality decisions, since that's what AO was most famous for. Maybe the games can be episodic, like what happened with The Walking Dead, so that the developers don't have to do the entire game in one chunk.

Like it was said before, a 2D puzzle/platformer without a jump button would be tricky. From the direction MO was heading, the series is slanting towards and RTS / Pikmin style game, but that depends whether heroes 3, 4 and 5 are loners like Stranger or social moguls like Abe. Would be great to see some Twitter integration in whatever the next game will be, with lots of lovely Steam achievements
