He means that when TF2 came out on the Mac, Valve made a big hooplah about the fact.
He is saying that he is surprised that they did not do the same for the Linux version.
I am saying of course they wouldn't because it's Linux lol

They made it pretty clear. I definitely knew when it happened even if it didn't coincide with a big update, although I'm still yet to really try TF2 out.
I thought it was a pretty big deal and the only time I've ever used Linux was on a Fedora LiveUSB when my computer died.
