True enough, but while age restrictions might still be enforced I honestly don't think many people follow them at all anymore. Like I said, in most cases kids are attracted to the violence and overall edginess of M-rated games, hence all the controversy. They want what they aren't allowed to have, and you can't really do much to change that, other than by removing the ratings system.

However, if you do that, you're pretty much throwing games like Mario or Spyro into the same pot as more mature or violent games like Dead Space or Gears of War. It's a complicated situation.
