From my basic overview, they all seem to be decent third-person platformers. I did play Wrath of Cortex in Poland with my cousins on their Xbox, it is quite a charming little game. Not as polished as the Mario games, but fun and has that retro feel to it, that is missing from most modern games.
I'm having even more fun in Assassin's Creed III now that I have Connor's assassin robe. There's a lot of traveling between locations (optional fast travel available). One of the best things is moving through the forest and discovering new things and new hunting spots. I took down a bear by jumping down from a high ledge with my hidden blade and got another one in a melee attack. I also took down a cougar, some beavers and some elk. I've forgotten how much fun hunting can be in games of this genre.
