I remember first hearing the Bloop when Cloverfield was starting its ad campaign and I saw some mockup of what the monster supposedly looked like (a big whale biped thing that looked nothing like what was actually in the movie) and thinking It's that thing. That thing in this picture made the sound. It's the only plausible explanation. Man I was stupid at 15.
