Do you actually believe that, considering you mentioned Jared Hess's "distinctive style"? Surely that implies common features?

Just because a director has a distinctive style doesn't mean he just made the same movie.
No. Of course it doesn't. Making a plot and characters that show constant and obvious parallels with the previous film does.

I mean, of course it was different, the degree of which is debatable - For the record, they are pretty damn similar; to the point that you can match every character up with one from Napoleon - but if this is Hess's style, I just hope he uses it on a less obvious setup next time.

Napoleon was better, but Broncos was fine. It was above-average.
