That smiling dog picture (the creepy one) is older than the internet. Anyone still frightened by it is a wiener.
What am I scared of? I guess practical things. Like murderers, or wild animals.
One halloween not so many years ago, I was packing up some leftover equipment from a film shoot alone at night in some woods behind my house. I heard some twigs snap underfoot and knew I wasn't alone. In that moment a thousand different possibilities freighted through my brain, and despite all the vast and imaginative otherworldly horrors I thought of, none of them scared me. The idea that I was being stalked by a psycho, or a bobcat, or a rabid dog was far more terrifying.
The story ended with it being one of those three. I'll let you guys guess which. Kind of like a "choose your own adventure" deal.
