I don't understand all this negativity towards achievements.
On my monitor, which has a max resolution of 1920x1080, steam achievement popups are about 1 to 1 1/2 inches long on the bottom right side of my screen.
If anything, I have trouble seeing when I get an achievement at all..
And it's not like they make sounds or are obtrusive in any way,
at least not on Steam..
