Everywhere is written that the ALIVE engine is lost,and that no one has access to it,but why? I know it's a stupid question, but is there really not anyone from Oddworld who owns it?

To elaborate on Paul's answer; it's not lost. It's just very old and the software needed to make it work isn't available any more.
