As much as I'd love to see Abe have as much exposure as possible I don't see how he’d fit into this game. I know he's a PS1 classic but I never really imagined Abe having "combat moves".
Wait and see I guess...

There's plenty of ways to put him in this game.

hmm maybe he could kinda be like the Pokemon trainer from smash bros, for example he fights using possessed Sligs, scrabs and paramites? maybe even glukkon for comedic value? if not im sure that could be incorporated somehow into his special moves.
for regular moves maybe he could...
roll into enemies and knock them over?
throw grenades and blow them up?
even throw pieces of meat and them wild paramites swarm the enemy closest to meat?
chase them with farts?
of course he has things like invisibility and the power to blow things up with the red ring and obviously shrykull would be his ultimate special and kill everyone with his godly goodness
as for possession i think it would have to be some form of special im pretty sure everyone would get pretty pissed off if they kept getting possessed and just had to sit back wwhilsst they got the shit kicked outta them

We say abe is the skinny guy with no weapons but in game he yields grenades and uses sligs to kill enemies, also these brawl games are never canonical, so it shouldnt really affect oddworld's image, if not it would improve it as people may think 'this guy seems strange, why does he "chant" and why does he turn into this monster?' they may research the game and play it themselves and become an oddworld fan.
