Server Announcement

The following changes are in effect starting today:
1. All Energy Collectors have been disabled for all players, including admins. You can no longer craft, place, or interact with these blocks.

2. Water Strainers have been disabled due to their ability to glitch and corrupt a world. You can no longer craft, place or interact with this block.

3. Nukes have been disabled for obvious reasons. You can no longer craft, place or interact with this block.

4. Block Breakers have been disabled because their primary purpose in automated cobblestone generators. These generators are mostly used for infinite EMC/scrap generation. This has been disabled for the same reason as the Energy Collectors are.

5. Glitch's economy idea has been implemented. It is no longer possible to craft Industrial Credits, though you are allowed to have and use them.

We decided to tie the base value of 1 credit to the EMC value of 1 coal. So 1 IC = 128 EMC. It is obviously up to you if you want to over or under price your commodities. Eventually supply and demand may lower or increase the value.

Everyone (all of the current regulars anyway) will find a chest in their home that contains 256 credits to start you off. Since I have no idea where Wil's place is, his chest is in the Communal shack.

Everyone is free to trade their credits with other players for whatever you want; items, services, labor, etc. You can also build a Trade-o-mat to create a small store.
The EMC related bans have been put in place primarily because they were considered overpowered, but also to support the economy idea put forth by Glitch. Since this relies heavily on trading for hard to get items, being able to generate unlimited EMC would kind of defeat this idea.

I am no economist though, so any ideas to improve this economy idea (or to keep it from failing horribly) are welcome .
