From a scientific prospective there are many things that are not supposed to exist but exist.
For exemple you can't mesure the fact that you exist but still this is probably the only truth you will ever be certain of.
Or again, why is the moon circling around earth mantainingg the same exact speed even thought it is constantly bombarded by asteroids?
Negating something just because you never saw it is not a scientific approch but a religious/dogmatic one.
