To be honest, it doesn't look 3D at all. It looks like simple textures layered over one another in photoshop. If you're wanting to create decent 3D CAMs, download Blender and learn how to use it. I used google skethup a few years ago, and it was rubbish, not worth the bother.
With blender, you can set up lighting which will create shadows. You're cam looks shadowless and flat. With a little bit of work you can make your cam look a lot better!
