It always reminds me of the start of Arcanum. Imagine a stuttering priest saying:
"And LO, the heir shall be reborn on WINGS of FIRE..."
Or rather, I should say, the start of Arcanum reminds me of WoF. You should be honoured, being able to intrude my otherwise enraptured mind while I'm playing one of my favourite games.
Also Assault Marines in Dawn of War talk about "bringing the Emperor's fury on wings of fire". It's a popular expression.
