It's just the thought of then being rejected by that child after you've told them they're adopted. It's one thing to lose a child but to also lose a child that wasn't really yours in the first place, I wouldn't want to have to put anybody through that.
If I had to adopt, I'd adopt one of the orphaned teenagers that are really looking for a home but are often rejected due to their age plus they understand the situation they're in.
