Ah, it means companion. Dissappointing. I like stuff like parasites, I thought thats sort of what you meant.

As I understand it, a symbiotic relationship can take any of the forms that a parasitic one does. But with a symbiote,
both partners benefit from the relationship. Even some "parasites" that live in your guts are actually symbiotes, because even though they depend on your body for nourishment, they compete with, consume, or even
attack more dangerous, harmful parasites.
However, that's all irrelevant, and I don't know about pony symbiosis.
