Right, but security would only be that tight at the Brewery gate. I can't imagine why a major transportation hub would lock down all the gates when they were only trying to prevent Abe from getting to one location. That's not to say that they didn't up the general security. Oddworld TSA, anyone?

Possibly to prevent Abe from reaching the executives and coercing them into opening the main gate?
I can’t imagine a bunch of selfish, cowardly Glukkons wouldn’t up the security around themselves.
