What do you think about Legend of Spyro trilogy?
A terrible abomination of a great IP. “Sure, let’s take one of the defining series of the platformer genre and convert the whole thing into a linear beat-em-up! And while you’re at it, throw out all that useless charm and unique style and turn the whole thing into a plot-driven epic fantasy!”

I did actually like Wrath of Cortex, it played like the others and the new mechanics were pretty cool. (such as the roiling in a ball and playing as Coco) I think mainly the reasons why people didn't like it was simply because it wasn't made by Naughty Dog. If Wrath was made by Naughty Dog, it would of been amazing.
It’s a completely soulless rehash of Crash 3, with ugly beta graphics and overly-long loading times. No creativity, no charm and no effort on the developer’s part.

I love all three original Crash games. However, with Spyro, I only really loved the first game. It had such a large world and it felt sort of magical and mysterious, compared to the other games which felt a bit more cartoonish and flat.
I always feel that the sequels were better for it. The first game had great gameplay and art/sound direction, but by god the world felt so empty. 2 and 3 retained what made the original good but added a ton more characters and story, plus throwing in extra minigames and sidequests. They feel more like a living world than the original.
