Maybe I should try reading the books, I don't have anything good to say about the show. It felt like a disjointed mess, genuinely just a product of its own hype. Especially the 20 minute long title sequence Strike Witch posted. Oh, is the world they live ona giant machine? No? It's nothing but the fucking dark ages? Thanks for that 2 Trillion dollar CG animation that explained jack squat.
Especially the part where that Blond-Haired kid didn't get his skull crushed at any point.
I mean, at least those Spartacus shows have a reason for showing rampant buttfucking and fighting. Part of why I don't like it is definitely the sex. There were like three scenes that literally just open with women shrieking orgasms all over the castle/desert/fortress, which didn't tell me any more about the plot than they couldn't deduce hoiw to open a scene without some level of penetration.
Are the books written like this? 'And the magical boy dreamt he was a wolf, and then he woke up, and meanwhile, in another part of the castle, his mother/aunt/whatever was having a nursemaid raped, and the boy then dreamt he was a wolf again.'
I understand that people like it, but this is one of those things where I can say after extensive clinical trial and study that it is objectively fucking terrible. Nothing but hype. Of course, this could just be coming from the fact that I'm watching The Wire, which is perfectly written and perfectly shot and perfectly perfect.
