Bashing through Okami again and loving every second of it.

I just beat Orochi for the first time, so I have a decent stack of brush powers and can start pushing back through old areas to find hidden treasure. The combat may be a tad boring, but trying to kill enemies as fast as possible with no damage to get the biggest money rewards is pulling me through it. I was awarded an additional 7000 yen on top of the 10,000 you get for defeating Orochi quickly and only taking a few hits.

The puzzles in this game are really entertaining. I'm sure part of that is because you have to draw things, but I'm really enjoying them. I still get excited every time I see a broken bridge that I need to pain in.

Now that I'm heading into West Nippon I'm getting into the "real" game. Much harder enemies, more weapons, more freedom and, most importantly, more fishing (that minigame is one of my favorite parts of Okami). I was disappointing that I had to stop where I did, but we're entertaining guests in a minute. I think I'm going to have a good run around East Nippon before I head over to the City Checkpoint.

Last time I played this game I didn't realise how weird it was, either. The comedy is obscure, but there.

I can't recommend Okami enough to anyone that hasn't played it.
