So, if the indoctrination theory is correct, it makes me wonder how many paragon/renegade choices were made while Shep was under the influence of the Reapers, and how many were genuine paragon/renegade.
Was it the Reapers telling me to side with the Geth over the Quarians? Because I'll be honest with you, that portion of the game really cheesed me off. It's bad enough that the politicians are forcing you to do their fucking job for them and play diplomat, but I'm not comfortable with making decisions that decide the fate of two races, especially when my decision was punctuated by Tali committing suicide almost immediately after she mused about settling down on her homeworld. These just weren't decisions I was prepared to make, and compound that with whether or not I'm being led by the nose via the Reapers, it would be enough to make me want to start over.
Also, fuck this game for killing off Mordin just because I chose to cure the Genophage. I know it sounds infantile, but goddamn it, I just want a genuinely good action to be rewarded with a genuinely good outcome. I KNOW that doesn't always happen in real life, but goddamn it, Bioware, you're making me too depressed and too unsure of my decisions to make me want to continue playing. I'm at the point where you're getting an artifact from the Asari homeworld, and at this point, I'm almost certain that whatever decision I choose to make will somehow result in Liara being killed off, and Garrus being mutilated for no good reason, because HAVEN'T YOU HEARD? APPARENTLY WAR IS HELL. DID YOU KNOW THAT? DID YOU KNOW THAT WAR IS HELL? SOMETIMES... IN WAR... IN WAR, SOMETIMES YOUR FRIENDS DIE! LIKE ALL OF THEM! DID YOU KNOW THAT, PLAYER? DID YOU KNOW THAT SOMETIMES GOOD DECISIONS HAVE BAD OUTCOMES? DID YOU? DID YOU KNOW THAT? LOL I DON'T THINK YOU DO KNOW THAT. LMAO LET'S SHOW YOU HOW BAD IT CAN BE.
Preemptively: Shut the fuck up, Sirloin.
