We're moving to the middle of nowhere. We'll only have a generator, and maybe solar power later on.
We can get broadband there and probably will at some point but I don't know how fast it will be.

Whatever you do, don't get Telecom.
Either get Telstra clear (one of the best) or... hmm...

I'm getting Slingshot unlimited for $90 and will see how the speed goes on Monday and get back to you (assuming you'll be here on the forum by then).
EDIT: for me Telstra Clear's Broadband 15mb/s downstream is actually 1-2mb/s download speeds and around 2mb/s upload rate, and that's if you are lucky. But if you get 120GB (which is expensive) you'll get better speeds but I don't know what the rates are.
