Its obvious that its different for every product, I recently had to send my TV in repair and asked if I could change the Motherboard myself and they said that would break warranty so in other words you open it its not our problem anymore.
I figure thats the same for everything, You buy a game and open it we wont take it back is best buys policy not sure if thats for every new game store.
It's like buying a Soda also I think a gas station will refund you or let you swap it if its unopened.
