Though I'd use a different mudokon pose for the silhouette, maybe like this which I've just made based on an image from Abe's Exoddus:
EDIT: Actually that looks awful now that I've seen it on a non-white background. You might have to clean it up a bit or make a new one based on a sprite. Blah.
