@Havoc - Seed generation has changed since 1.1. The Ma'Spa seed (-1274235198) now generates a Stronghold at the following location, so you need to delete a few chunks around the following spot:
x: -608 z: z: -426
EDIT:
It's a part near where the original stronghold is meant to be, that Hulaa found earlier - Glitchy chunks intersect at this point and it's within sight of Hulaa's exploration hut.
