I don't think he landed in daylight. It was more like some kind of ethereal spotlight put in for the sake of theatricality. Or you could rationalize that it was "the light", and Big Face intercepted his journey to the afterlife to tell him his true purpose and revive him.

I think it was metaphorical, in that he wasn't really dead, "just" dying and near death, when the Big Face came and healed him.
God dammit guys, stop ruining my fun.

I'm pretty sure it was metaphorical, but it still doesn't explain why moments after landing in the middle of the night it was suddenly day time again. The trek back to Rupture Farms made more sense because I can see it taking more than a day to complete the Scrabanian + Paramonia challenges and returning at night because it would be easier to infiltrate in the dark, but the damn moon was high in the sky and there was no sunrise to be seen from the first go through the Stockyards.

I was going to pick at how he was just miraculously brought back to life, but this is Oddworld. If you can possess pretty much anything that moves just by "channeling" your energy through chanting, burst into a flock of birds when you die, and exclusive to MO you can revive pretty much everyone an infinite amount of times, I can see a random shaman just approaching him after he smashes his head and bringing him back to life.

My point still stands. Those bad endings were entirely canon things that happened. Yep. Time fuckery may or may not have been involved. I'm perfectly cool with accepting they were all alternate timelines based on what decisions Abe made.
