Promising engine. I love the character customization at the beginning although some hats did not display properly. My one criticism is that you haven't adjusted the walking sprites' animation speed which really should be a lot lower than it is there.
As for the sprites; if you don't mind, I'll be slowly and steadily working on that old set of Zephyr style stuff. It will eventually include Scrabs which you are more than welcome to, but you'll have to be patient as I'm currently juggling two unpaid "volunteer" jobs totalling to about 46 hours a week and don't have too much time for this stuff.
