Is it the same story like the other games where?

But to anwser, Yes it is the same 'Save the Princess' storyline. Much how like Zelda is the same and that's how I like it. Mario isn't about the story as such anyway; The charm of the games comes from the gameplay and the character and level design.
Also Super Mario 3D Land is a great throwback to older Mario games, especially Super Mario Bros 3. (Which I consider the greatest Mario game ever) New SMB and Mario Galaxy did it also but more so in SM3DL.
For example a Super Mario Bros. Flagpole.
After every world you get a letter with a photo in the same artstyle as SMB3
This game should of been called
Super Mario Bros. 3 2!
