I saw Mission Impossible 4. It was pretty good, definitely worth watching.

Part of me misses the convoluted plot of MI1, with a ridiculous number of plot twists and double-crosses. This film doesn't have that. It does have a bunch of great action sequences and cool super-gadget scenes. If I have a problem with the film, it's that all the best scenes are in the first half. The highlight of the film is the section in the Burj Khalifa, but that's in the middle and nothing after that could possibly top it.
I kind of want to see it. Mainly because, interestingly enough, it was directed by Brad Bird. He has done exclusively animated things up until this point. He wrote/directed The Iron Giant, The Incredibles, and The Simpsons (back when it was good). Evidently his transition to live action was a success.
