I dabbled in flash years and years ago during the AS1 days. Got back into it during my last year at uni and learnt AS3 to a pretty high level.
For this I pretty much had to go back and learn AS1.
AS3 is a much more well structured language than AS2, it functions as a truly OOB.

as for flash 3d, html5 and all this back and forth form apple, its something i'd like to talk to you about but i'll save it for another time. i don't want to get to into it over a forum.
