I would also edit Exodus if it weren't for the lack of documentation and object properties information.
I wish the dev team would've just released the tools they used since AO/AE along with their engine have long been abandoned. Thankfully we've got people like Paul helping out

Their tools would be so antique I doubt they would work any more. And they would likely work with the "uncompiled" level formats. So not as simple as you'd think
I found there is a limit to animation objects (about 30 per screen). But the upper limit for the number of objects in the whole level is almost unlimited.
