I've been trying to do at least one Binding of Isaac run a day.

Me too! I do one every day after school, I'm trying to complete it once with every character. I've done Judas and Cain, and I'll have to do Isaac again because your first complete doesn't count...
(There's another two levels you have to unlock by 'proving' you can defeat Mom.)
Currently doing Eve because she's shit, and I'll do Maggy last. Why? Did I not mention difficulty increases with every complete?
I acted as STM's mentor for a while, so I'll happily give you some pointers...
EDIT: Steam has hundreds of games on sale (or more - some are bundles). Morrowind GOTY with Tribunal And Bloodmoon is £6.49, Crashpunk. They change every day, though.
Myself, I just picked up both Mass Effects for £7.48.
