That video is awesome; have to say I laughed most loudly at the awful wool bodies.
I loved the pistons and stuff. Was the pit opened in the opening scene? if so, maybe there should be lava under there revealed with a pison. If not, maybe there should be a stone half-block hiding lava, moved with a piston (that'd let some glow through, but I don't think that'd be a bad thing). Or indeed make it a bit bigger - two blocks by two blocks.
But it does look great. I know a black body with a security orb head would look lame but it'd work at least. If the orb player was flying, too...
