No, dude, it's not. I have Asperger's. I was diagnosed in 1998. It's a mild case, but it's there. Now, there are times when I literally can't tell if what I've said was rude, but for the most part I can, so if I'm an asshole, I don't blame it on the disorder, I'm just being an asshole.
There are people who claim it's the disorder making them rude, and here's the pisser: sometimes it is. However, it's easy to spot the legitimate claims from the bullshitters, and I guarantee you that as much as you despise the bullshitters, people with AS dislike them even more, mainly because they make the ones who actually HAVE AS look false.
I attend a program for people with autism at the moment, and NONE of them are "faking it" to "get away with being an asshole." Do some research on the disorder before you make such astoundingly ignorant comments.
