How you managed to miss all the interesting bits is beyond me, but at least expected. How you managed to get 'bug eyed singing teenage girls' from the opening is just weird.

So yeah, against your wishes I did exactly that, which confirmed my suspicions: I barely found the plot comprehensible in the synopsis, so I'd probably wouldn't be able to make head or tails of it in the game.

Because obviously a laconic synposis of an highly comples sci-fi plot is an accurate representation of the story spaced over thirty hours worth of narration.
But hey, I'm not Strike Witch and I don't play this game. If you don't want to be convinced them I'm not going to try.
