I figured out why I don't like that picture of Ren (at least partly) - I forgot the long scar across his eye; he had it in all the early pictures I drew of him, but I keep forgetting it these days, which is annoying, as it gave him a bit more character... Oh well.
This is just another of those mad doodles... This is a Lamprile, an arboreal, amphibious species (a bit like a big ugly tree-frog), lives in subtropical rainforests and eats pretty much anything and everything. They are sapient, but they're pretty stupid; even if they could talk properly no-one would listen to them as they'd have nothing intelligent or interesting to say (sounds familiar).
