I don't want to scare newbies away from here but I do have a bit of harsh advice. Fortunately I come up with it on the fly so you'll only have to endure it in small doses.

Firstly; I would suggest that a character is best introduced through their own actions. Rather than writing paragraphs about what a character is like and what they can do, draw them doing something. Abstract example: If I wanted to introduce a grey fuzzy-mess who poops grenades, I would not tell you anything of it in writing. I would draw said character, pooping said grenades, while attempting to keep to whatever scenario is currently in play. As for character backgrounds I would have the character flash-back to their creation or be created within the current scenario, assuming I want to tell you anything about the character's back-story at all.

Also, I suggest that you participate in the post in which you introduce a character. I, personally, have no interest in reacting to BoomBlock at all, for example. This is because he hasn't done anything for me to react to.

EDIT: Don't use lossy image formats. I'm looking at you, GIF and JPEG!
