I forget who said this, but they described PETA as "the activist group that all the other activist groups avoid at parties". My mother used to be a member of PETA, so I got all the trickle down. On the whole, I think PETA has done far more harm than good. It's more like a militia than an activist group. Throwing blood on people wearing fur coats solves nothing.

Yes, they want the right thing, but go the complete wrong way about it. So now people assume those who support animal rights are clinically insane.
Also I never got the whole blood fur coat thing. Wouldn't all the people requiring new coats increase the demand for animals to be killed?
