edit:i found my old ps1 abes oddysee and i have that two player screen,but the only thing it does is when you die you have to go on the second controller.and that stereo mono was i think for the sounds but it doesnt work on my epsx emulator.

I remember when I first got the game I was just learning to read and write and chose two player because I hadn't a clue what I was doing. I was completly confused as to why the game wouldn't continue after I died. I thought it was just a game mode where you only had 1 life.
