The first game is far better, so I'm sure that you will enjoy it and yeah the missions where you play as the girl (Sam if her name if I remember correctly) sucked. There are a couple of stealth missions in the first game but I actually enjoyed them.
The Getaway 3 was canceled to concentrate on development for Eyepet. From what I hear they apparently anounced The Getaway 3 was back in production but haven't heard anything since.
