Though I feel people tend to rely on it too much as a tool for maintaining friendships, rather than visiting those friends face to face and talking to/doing stuff with them. Bit sad to see really.

I know what you mean, two friends of mine talk to their mum over Facebook, just for things like, dinner is ready come and get it, and stuff like that
AND THEY LIVE IN THE SAME HOUSE!
Is it really that hard to use your voice these days?
The only time I've spoken to my mum on Facebook is when I've been away, apart from that, we like to speak face to face.
